Pierre Redding

Connecticut native, Pierre Redding started very early in music. Being the son of professional Gospel Quartet singer George Redding as well as second cousin to the late R&B legend, Otis Redding, music was destined to be his direction.

Gifted with musicality, at age four, Pierre began singing and composing vocal harmony arrangements with older brother and fellow-musician, Preston Redding. At the age of ten, he began formal studies in percussion, becoming an accomplished drummer and percussionist in addition to playing keyboards. His vocal ability and ear for precision served him well as he toured professionally for several years with mainstream acappella bands, The Jabberwocks and The Redding Bros., sharing the stage with such renowned acts as Chicago, The Judds and Reba McIntyre, among many others.

Pierre also formed the Christian bands, Kingdom Bound and 5-Fold during the late 90’s and early 00’s, for which, in addition to performing with them, he also composed and produced the majority of their songs.

An often sought after session vocalist and producer, Pierre’s musical influences from Gospel, Jazz, Pop, R&B and Rock culminate in a vocal styling that is original, refreshing and soulful. He has an ability to move a crowd; whether it’s a smooth ballad or gritty jam, he always delivers and emotes with his inimitable style, presence and boundless energy.
